Tamiya 1/24 24217

Ford Motor Sports have been active players in rally sports since the 1950's. They are back again to challenge the 1999 season of the World Rally Championships with the machine unveiled in January at the Birmingham Motor Show, the Focus WRC. By adopting an upright gearbox, substantial weight can be positioned further back on the chassis, providing superb overall balance. Other state-of-the-art advances of the Focus include: the abundant use of titanium alloy parts, adoption of low friction bearings, and an oil pressure operated waste gate to prevent turbo lag. In the 2nd Swedish Rally, Focus driver, Thomas Radstrom took 3rd place. In the following 3rd Safari Rally and the 4th Portugal Rally, Colin McRae achieved back to back victories, proving the power of this impressive machine.
